Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G to arrive in Asia, Europe soon
Xiaomi is gearing up to launch a new mid-range handset, called the 12 Lite 5G. In the latest development, Xiaomiui has reported that the phone will be introduced soon in Asia and Europe. The report also states internal testing of the smartphone in both markets has already begun. Previously, it was spotted on the IMEI database with the model number 2203129G.

The latest addition to the Xiaomi 12 series, the 12 Lite 5G, will join the vanilla 12, 12X, and 12 Pro. The trio was launched globally on March 15. The news that a budget-friendly mid-ranger will soon join them is music to the ears of many. If rumors are to be believed, it will borrow specifications from the Xiaomi CIVI and Xiaomi 12.
The handset will offer Always On Display
The Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G will feature a centrally-aligned punch-hole cut-out, slim bezels, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it will have a vertical camera unit. The handset will bear a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and support for the Always On Display (AOD) feature.
It will flaunt a 64MP main camera
The Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G will be equipped with a triple rear camera module, including a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW3 main shooter, an ultrawide sensor, and a macro lens. Up front, it will sport a single selfie snapper.
It will run on MIUI 13 based on Android 12
The Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G shall be powered by a Snapdragon 778G+ 5G chipset, paired with at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Under the hood, it would boot Android 12-based MIUI 13 and may house a 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. For connectivity, the handset should offer support for Bluetooth, 5G, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, and a Type-C port.
Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G: Pricing and availability
The official pricing and availability details of the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G will be announced at the time of its launch. However, we expect the handset to start at around Rs. 25,000.
