Windows 10 November 2019 Update: Here's what you will get
In a matter of days, Microsoft will push the next big iteration of Windows 10- the November 2019 Update. The release will particularly focus on bug fixes, performance, and battery improvements, but you will also get some fancy new capabilities to play with. Let us take a look at everything that is set to change with the Windows update.
UI tweaks for enhanced function
While Windows 10 UI would remain unchanged, you will notice some tweaks that will make certain features more accessible. For one, sorting through local files would be easier than ever. Windows Search will index your PC, letting you lookup for a file by typing a few initials of its name in file explorer; it will give suggestions (even from OneDrive), which will open instantly.
Third-party assistant, new way to create calendar events
The next big change coming with November 2019 Update is the integration of a new voice assistant. Reports indicate once you will update the platform, there will be an option to switch Cortana with Amazon's Alexa voice assistant, which studies have shown happens to be more powerful. Additionally, creating new calendar events will also become easier with a new fly-out option on the taskbar.
Better notification management
Microsoft will also offer a better way to manage notifications with the next update of Windows 10. Specifically, instead of showing notifs by the name of the app sending it, the OS will organize them by time. So, you will be able to see the most recent notifs, know which app bugs you the most, and disable the same later.
Finally, there will be performance improvements
In order to boost performance and create a more seamless user experience, Windows 10 November Update will deploy a new work rotation policy. As part of this, it will allocate tasks more fairly among the highest-performing or favored cores flagged by Intel and AMD CPUs. This will also reduce heating and boost the battery life of your machine.
When the update will release?
Though the timeline is not fully confirmed, reports indicate that Windows 10 November 2019 Update might roll-out on Tuesday, November 12. It might come with the pre-scheduled Windows Patch, but given that there is no word from Microsoft, we cannot be 100% sure. Also, do note that once the update starts rolling, it might take a few days to hit your PC.
