WhatsApp will soon let you choose chat theme on iOS
WhatsApp has introduced a new update for iOS through its TestFlight beta program. The latest version, numbered 24.17.10.71, is currently under development and will include an innovative feature that allows users to select a chat theme. This update aims to enhance the user experience by offering more personalized options for their chats on WhatsApp for iOS.
User control and customization
The new feature will enable users to choose which theme they want to apply to specific chats. This option will be added to the chat info screen, allowing users to modify the message and background color according to their preferences. Selecting a theme for a specific chat will override the default theme, giving each conversation its own unique look and feel, independent of the general settings applied across the app.
Preview and privacy in theme selection
WhatsApp will provide a preset of themes for users to preview how a message color looks when applied to a chat. This feature will help users visualize their chats' interface before making any changes, ensuring that the selected theme always aligns with their preferences. The app will offer 10 default themes for users to choose from by scrolling the themes screen horizontally. Importantly, the theme selection for each chat will remain private, visible only to the user who set it.
