WhatsApp for iPhone gets new time and location stickers
WhatsApp on iOS has been updated to add a couple of features to the instant messaging app. The updated app now allows users to add time and location stickers on the photos or videos that they share with their contacts. Another option of searching participants in a group has also been added. The update has been rolled out to WhatsApp version 2.18.30 on iPhone.
Here's how you can add stickers to photos on WhatsApp
If a user wants to add stickers to their photos and videos on WhatsApp, here is what they have to do: Once they select the photo or video that they want to share, they need to tap the smiley icon from the top bar of the chat box, simply search the time or location sticker they want, and send it to their contact.
Instagram and Snapchat already have time and location stickers
Users can also remove the said stickers from their media by dragging and dropping them in the bin icon placed on the top-left corner. Social media apps like Instagram and Snapchat already offer similar stickers on their platform.
WhatsApp Business brings verified accounts to users
In another update, WhatsApp Business has also upgraded its platform to bring verified accounts to users. Business accounts on the app now have green badges next to their profiles, acting much like Twitter's blue ticks. Users do not have to approach the app to be verified on the platform; instead WhatsApp Business itself assigns the green badges after conducting the necessary checks.
