Step-by-step guide to clear Google Pay history
To clear your transaction history, start by launching the Google Pay app and selecting the Profile icon at the top right. Then, scroll down and select Settings. Within this menu, choose Privacy & Security, then Data and Personalization. Proceed to Google Account settings via the provided link. Finally, scroll down and tap the 'X' icon on any transaction you wish to remove from your history. However, these transactions will not be deleted from your bank statement.
Erasing Google Pay history via web browser
If you don't have your phone available, you can still erase your transaction history using a web browser. Simply access Google's My Activity page and proceed to Other activity in the menu panel. Then, select Manage Activity under Google Pay experience. Scroll down to Payments Transactions & Activity where you can delete transactions individually or all at once.
Deleting Google Pay account: A permanent solution
Another method to erase transaction history is by permanently deleting your Google Pay account. However, this irreversible action will result in the loss of all saved payment details and history, which cannot be retrieved. Furthermore, you will not be able to create a new Google Pay account for seven days following deletion.
