Want to change language on WhatsApp? Here's a quick guide
What's the story
Changing the language in WhatsApp on an Android device is a simple process that requires modifying your device's language settings.
Since WhatsApp utilizes the system language, changing your Android device's language is necessary to reflect the changes in WhatsApp.
This guide will provide detailed instructions for each step, ensuring a seamless transition to your desired language.
Language settings
Adjust your device's language settings
First, open your Android device's settings by clicking on the gear icon located either on your home screen or in the app drawer.
Once inside, scroll through the menu until you find "System," then select "Languages & input."
This is the area where you can control all language-related settings for your device, including adding a new language or modifying the existing one.
Change language
Set your preferred language
Under "Languages and Input," click on "Add a Language."
Select your desired language by tapping on it. If it is already listed but not at the top, simply drag it to the top.
This will set it as the default system language, and WhatsApp will now operate in your chosen language.
Keyboard language
Customize keyboard language (optional)
If you want to align your keyboard's input method with your new system language, head back to the Languages & input section and select On-screen keyboard.
Select Gboard or whichever keyboard app you have installed, and then go to its Languages setting.
You can add or rearrange languages based on your typing needs.
This step is optional but highly recommended for a consistent experience across all apps, including WhatsApp.
