Want to add personality? Use Facebook's new voice clips
What's the story
Facebook's "Voice Clips" feature lets you easily record and attach audio messages to your posts and comments, adding a whole new (and way more personal) dimension to your social media game.
This tutorial shows you exactly how to use it on Android.
Super simple!
Note: It might not be available to everyone yet as it's being tested in some regions.
Recording steps
Recording and posting voice clips as status updates
Open Facebook on Android and tap "What's on your mind?" Look for "Voice Clips."
If visible, tap and hold the record button, say your thing, and release to stop. Review, then post.
It appears as an audio waveform with your profile pic, and others can play it with a tap.
Messenger Method
Sending voice recordings via Facebook Messenger
If you can't post voice clips on your timeline because of restrictions, simply use Facebook Messenger instead.
Open the app, select a conversation, and tap the microphone icon at the bottom.
Press and hold the record button to speak. Releasing it will give you options to play it back, delete, or send it.
Voila, you can now share audio messages privately with your friends and family!
Alternative sharing
Using file-sharing services for audio files
To share larger audio files, utilize Google Drive or Dropbox. Simply upload your file, and generate a shareable link.
By posting this link on Facebook in a post or comment, you can grant access from any location.
This capability enhances digital communication, providing a break from text-only messages by facilitating the sharing of audio content with ease.
