Vivo Y95 launched in India for Rs. 16,990
Expanding its portfolio of mid-range Y-series smartphones, Vivo has launched the Y95 smartphone in India. The phone, priced at Rs. 16,990, is available via offline and online sales channels including Flipkart, Amazon India, and Paytm Mall. The Vivo Y95, which first debuted in the Philippines last week, features a waterdrop notched display, mid-level internals, and a 20MP selfie camera. Here's everything about it.
Vivo Y95: At a glance
Up front, the Vivo Y95 features a waterdrop notched display and a fairly thick bottom bezel. On the back, the phone sports dual-rear camera and a fingerprint sensor, both housed in glass panel with dual-tone gradient finish. The Vivo Y95 has a 6.22-inch IPS HD+ (720x1520 pixels) display with 270ppi pixel density and 2.5D curved glass protection.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
In the camera department, the Vivo 95 gets a dual rear-camera setup comprising a 13-megapixel main sensor, paired with a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and support for LED flash and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). Up front, the phone gets a 20-megapixel selfie snapper and comes with AI-based face beauty and selfie flash.
Under the hood
The phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 439 processor, paired with Adreno 505 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card. Under the hood, the Vivo 95 runs Android Oreo-based FunTouch OS 4.5 and packs a 4,030mAh battery. It also offers an AI-based Game Mode that controls notifications and offers an improved keyboard.
Connectivity options and sensors onboard the Y95
In terms of connectivity options, the phone supports dual SIMs, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, GLONASS, and FM Radio among others. As far as onboard sensors are concerned, the Vivo Y95 comes with an accelerometer, light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Notably, the phone also supports face unlock via the front camera.

The Vivo Y95 is priced at Rs. 16,990 and comes in Starry Black and Nebula Purple variants. In terms of launch offers, Jio is offering its subscribers a cashback worth Rs. 4,000 and 3TB of 4G data. Paytm Mall is also offering a cashback of Rs. 1,500. Further, buyers can avail no-cost EMI offers starting Rs. 1,133/month via Bajaj Finserv and other leading banks.
