Vivo Y71 launched for Rs. 10,990 with FullView Display
Vivo has launched its Y71 smartphone in India at a price of Rs. 10,990. The major aspects of the smartphone are its 18:9 FullView Display, narrow bezels, and face unlock feature. The Vivo Y71 will start selling via offline channels from April 14, and via online stores like Vivo E-store, Flipkart, Amazon, and Paytm Mall from April 16.
Vivo Y71 sports 6-inch display with 84% screen-to-body ratio
The phone features a 6-inch FullView display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and has a screen-to-body ratio of 84.4%. The company claims that the Vivo Y71 displays 12.5% more screen space than the phones with a standard 16:9 aspect ratio. The phone will be available in two color options of Gold and Matte Black.
13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera
The Vivo Y71 sports a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The rear camera reportedly comes with a lighting optimization feature which helps take quality images even in low light conditions. The front camera comes with the AI Beauty feature that can identify gender, age, and skin tone of the subject in order to enhance the images.
Under the hood
The Vivo Y71 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It is equipped with 16GB of inbuilt storage and a 3,360mAh battery. The smartphone features a Vivo Smart Engine that improves battery performance by providing additional power management.
Volume is intuitively lowered when user is looking at screen
The dual-SIM smartphone runs the Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, with Vivo's custom FunTouch skin on top. Apart from unlocking the handset, the Vivo Y71's Face Access feature deploys the facial recognition technology in other phone functionalities as well. It can recognize when a user is looking at the phone and intuitively lower the volume of message alerts, incoming calls, and alarms.
