Vivo Y50 to come with punch-hole display, Snapdragon 665 chipset

As an addition to its budget-friendly Y series, Chinese tech giant Vivo is gearing up to launch the Y50 smartphone sometime soon.
In the latest update, a promotional poster of the upcoming handset has surfaced online, confirming its punch-hole design and memory options.
Separately, a Google Play Console listing (via SlashLeaks) has also revealed the key details of the phone.

As per the leaked images, the Vivo Y50 will come with a punch-hole design and a prominent bezel at the bottom. On the rear, the gradient-finished panel will house a quad-camera setup and a physical fingerprint scanner.
The handset will reportedly offer an LCD screen with a Full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) resolution and 480ppi pixel density.

In the imaging department, the Vivo Y50 will house a quad-lens rear camera setup coupled with an LED flash. However, the details of these sensors are not known as of now.

Going by the Google Play Console listing, the Vivo Y50 will draw power from a Snapdragon 665 octa-core chipset. Further, it will offer 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage.
The handset is likely to run Android 10-based FunTouch OS 10 and pack a solid 5,000mAh battery.
It will also get all the standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, VoLTE, and a headphone jack.

Vivo will reveal the official pricing and availability details of the Y50 at a later stage. However, looking at the specifications, we expect the phone to be priced around Rs. 15,000. Once launched, it will compete against Redmi Note 9 Pro and Realme 6.
