Mid-ranger Vivo Y19 to launch in India soon: Report
What's the story
Vivo Y19, the mid-range smartphone which recently went official in Thailand, is likely to hit the Indian shelves soon.
Citing a Vivo executive, Indian tech-focused publication 91Mobiles, has claimed that the handset is likely to be priced at around Rs. 20,000.
The report has also noted that the Chinese tech giant will discontinue the Y17 model (Y19's predecessor) in India.

First, a look at the Vivo Y19
Vivo Y19 features a familiar waterdrop notched design with a slim bezel at the bottom.
On the rear, the gradient finished panel houses a triple camera unit surrounded by a golden-colored frame and a physical fingerprint reader.
The phone comes with a 6.53-inch LCD display with a full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

Vivo Y19 offers a triple rear camera setup
The Vivo Y19 houses triple rear cameras including a 16MP (f/1.8) main sensor, 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor, and another 2MP (f/2.4) lens to capture depth details.
The main camera offers photography features like HDR, panorama, portrait mode, and can record 1080p videos at 30fps.
For the selfie lovers, there is a 16MP (f/2.0) snapper which also supports 1080p video recording.

The Vivo Y19 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P65 octa-core processor, paired with upto 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Under the hood, the phone runs Android Pie-based FunTouch OS 9 and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support.
Furthermore, it packs all latest connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), dual-band Wi-Fi, VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, micro-USB port, and a headphone jack.

According to report, Vivo Y19 is likely to cost somewhere around Rs. 20,000. However, looking at the specifications, we expect the phone to be priced around Rs. 15,000 and take on the likes of Samsung Galaxy M30s, Redmi Note 8 Pro, and Realme 5 Pro.
