Vivo Y17's official page goes live, India launch imminent
As an addition to its affordable Y series, Vivo is planning to launch all-new Y17 in India soon. The company has officially listed Y17 on its Indian website, hinting at the smartphone's imminent launch in the country. The key features of Vivo Y17 include AI-based triple rear cameras, a massive 5,000mAh battery with 18W Fast Charging support and MediaTek Helio P35 chipset. Here's more.

The Vivo Y17 comes with a dewdrop notched display and slim bottom bezel to offer a screen-to-body ratio of 89%. On the back, the mirror-finish panel houses a triple camera setup and a fingerprint sensor. Also, it has a 6.35-inch HD+ (720 x 1544 pixels) LCD display with an aspect ratio of 19.3:9 and 268 ppi density.

In the optics department, the Vivo Y17 features AI-based triple rear cameras comprising a 13MP (f/2.2) main shooter, paired with an 8MP (f/2.2) wide-angle sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Although the wide-angle camera promises 120-degree FOV (field of view), in reality, it captures only 108-degree after accounting for distortion. Up front, the phone has a 20MP (f/2.0) snapper.

The Vivo Y17 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 processor, paired with PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It comes with a massive 5,000mAh battery that supports Vivo's exclusive 18W Dual-Engine Fast charging technology and runs Android Pie-based Funtouch 9. Furthermore, the phone comes with Ultra Game Mode for a better gaming experience.
