Vivo Y12 with 5,000mAh battery launched at Rs. 12,000
As an addition to its budget-range Y series, the Chinese tech giant Vivo has silently introduced Vivo Y12 in India. The key highlights of the smartphone include its HD+ waterdrop notched display, triple rear camera setup, a massive 5,000mAh battery, and mid-level internals. The smartphone is expected to go on sale via offline retail channels by the end of this week. Here's more.

Up front, the Vivo Y12 comes with a waterdrop notch display with thin bezels around it, while on the back it houses a vertically stacked triple rear camera setup and a fingerprint sensor. Further, the smartphone sports a 6.35-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1544 pixels and 89 percent screen-to-body ratio.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The Vivo Y12 houses a triple rear camera setup comprising a 13MP (f/2.2) primary camera, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 2MP (f/2.4) sensor to capture depth details. Up front, the smartphone offers an 8MP selfie snapper. Moreover, the main camera offers a bunch of photography features such as HDR, panorama, portrait mode, and supports 1080p video recording at 30fps.
Under the hood
The Vivo Y12 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, paired with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage. To keep it alive, the phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with reverse-charging via micro-USB port and runs Android Pie based FunTouch OS 9. Lastly, it offers all standard sensors and connectivity options including dual-SIMs (nano), Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0 as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.

According to a report, the Vivo Y12 has been priced at Rs. 11,999 for its 3GB/32GB variant while the 4GB/64GB model costs Rs. 12,999. At this price, the phone will take on the likes of Redmi Note 7S and Realme 3 in India.
