Context
Why does this story matter?
Vivo's first flagship series of 2022 is almost at our doorstep, but we still have little to no idea about the specifications of the phones.
The present leak about the X80 does not match previous reports regarding its specifications. In fact, it matches the rumored specifications of the X80 Pro.
We will know more once the company finally introduces the phones.
Display
The handset will sport a 6.78-inch or 6.5-inch AMOLED display
The Vivo X80 would feature a punch-hole design with slim bezels and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The handset may bear a 6.78-inch Full-HD+ E5 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and DC-like dimming.
However, a previous report had suggested that it could pack a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ LTPO AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Information
The phone may flaunt a 44MP selfie camera
The Vivo X80 may be equipped with a triple rear camera module, comprising a 50MP Samsung GN5 main sensor, a 13MP secondary lens, and a 12MP Sony IMX663 tertiary shooter. Up front, it is tipped to sport a 44MP selfie snapper.
Internals
It will have an X-axis linear motor for tactile feedback
The Vivo X80 will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
It should boot Android 12 and offer support for connectivity features like 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, and a Type-C port.
The phone will also reportedly have a large chamber for heat dissipation and an X-axis linear motor.
