    What's the story

As the successor to the mid-range Vivo X21, the company has introduced the Vivo X23.

The smartphone has been listed on the company's official website in China and its pricing and availability details are expected to be announced soon.

The key highlights of the Vivo X23 are its waterdrop notch, improved in-display fingerprint sensor, and AI cameras.

    Here's our roundup.

    Design & Display

    Vivo X23: At a glance

Up front, the Vivo X23 is likely to sport a 6.4-inch display with a 91.2% screen-to-body, thanks to a waterdrop-like notched display.

On the back, the phone houses a dual camera setup and features a glass panel with 3D design and gradient finish.

Moreover, Vivo has also offered an improved fourth generation in-display fingerprint scanner.

    Camera

For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers

In terms of optics, Vivo hasn't detailed the camera specs. That said, we know the phone will sport a dual rear camera setup with one of the lenses being a "Super Wide" angle lens while the other lens could possibly be a telephoto sensor.

Moreover, the primary camera and the selfie camera will come with a host of AI-powered features.

    Internals

    Under the hood

According to previous leaks, the Vivo X23 is likely to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor along with 8GB RAM.

Further, the phone is also tipped to come with a 3D face recognition module and an "independent" audio DAC as well.

However, most of these details will be confirmed on August 23 which is the expected launch date of the Vivo X23.
