Vivo X21 launches May 29, will be Flipkart exclusive
Vivo will launch its latest mid-budget smartphone, the Vivo X21, in India on May 29. Launched recently in China, the phone features an in-display fingerprint sensor and will be available exclusively via Flipkart in India. Vivo had earlier posted a teaser regarding the phone's launch. The key highlight of the Vivo X21 is its under-display fingerprint scanner. The phone bears a 6.28 inch-full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) Super AMOLED notch-based display with 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor, paired with an Adreno 512 GPU, 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB inbuilt storage. Notably, Google has also released the Android P Beta update for this smartphone.

In terms of optics, the Vivo X21 sports a rear dual-camera setup with a 12-megapixel, f/1.8 aperture primary sensor and a 5-megapixel, f/2.4 aperture secondary sensor, and an LED flash. On the front, the phone's iPhone X-like notch houses a 12-megapixel, f/2.0 aperture camera which offers AI-based features such as IR fill light for low-light photography, 3D mapping, and Face Wake facial recognition.
Vivo X21 packs a 3,200mAh battery, supports dual-band Wi-Fi
With support for dual-SIM, the smartphone runs FunTouch OS 4.0, built on top of Android 8.1 Oreo, and packs a 3200mAh battery with fast charging. In terms of connectivity options, you would get 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11a/c, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0 with OTG support, and GPS. Onboard sensors include an under-display fingerprint sensor, gravity sensor, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope.
Vivo X21 will take on OnePlus 6 and Honor 10
The regular variant (without in-display fingerprint sensor) was priced at CNY 2,898 (Rs. 29,900) for the 64GB variant and CNY 3,198 (Rs. 33,000) for the 128GB variant. The in-display fingerprint sensor-equipped 128GB variant, called the Vivo X21 UD in China, was priced at CNY 3,598 (Rs. 37,100). In India, the Vivo X21 will take on recently released flagship killers Honor 10 and OnePlus 6.
