Vivo will launch its V9 smartphone in India on March 23. According to reports, the Vivo V9 will be priced around Rs. 25,000 in the country. It can be expected to be available through both online and offline channels to reach more users. Ahead of the formal launch, the phone's key specifications and design have been leaked online. The phone has an iPhone X-like notch
The smartphone has an iPhone X-like notch to hold the earpiece and the front camera sensor, along with a vertically placed dual rear camera setup. The Vivo V9's 6-inch full HD+ AMOLED screen sports a near-bezel-less display that includes on-screen buttons. It has a thin build, a glossy frame, and a metal panel on the back along with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor.
Vivo V9 has 24MP front camera with AI features
The phone has a dual rear camera setup with 12-megapixel and 8-megapixel image sensors. It also has a 24-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera along with features like Face Unlock, Apps Clone, FiturSmart Split 2.0, gender detection, and augmented reality (AR) Stickers. Vivo is expected to incorporate some artificial intelligence (AI) features in the camera to enhance user experience.
Under the hood
According to reports, the smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor and run the Android 8.0 Oreo-based FunTouch operating system (OS). It will feature 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of onboard storage, and pack a 3,250mAh battery. Its connectivity options will most probably include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and 4G VoLTE.
