Ahead of launch, Vivo V21 5G's key specifications leaked
Chinese smartphone maker Vivo will launch its "slimmest 5G smartphone," the V21 5G in India on April 27. It will be launched in Malaysia on the same day. In the latest development, tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has detailed the handset's camera specifications and also claimed that it will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset. It won't sport a headphone jack. Here are more details.
It will flaunt a Full-HD+ AMOLED display
The Vivo V21 5G will feature a slim body and a waterdrop notch display with narrow bezels. The matte-glass finished rear panel will sport a triple camera setup. The handset may bear a 6.44-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) AMOLED screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9, and an integrated fingerprint sensor. It should be available in three color options: Black, Blue, White/Silver.
The 44MP selfie camera will come with OIS support
The Vivo V21 5G will offer a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies, there will be a 44MP front camera. The main rear camera and the selfie snapper will come with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) support.
It may be fueled by a Dimensity 800U processor
The Vivo V21 5G may draw power from a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM+3GB of extended virtual RAM. Storage configurations are not known at the moment. It will run on Android 11 and may pack a 4,500mAh battery with fast-charging support. For connectivity, the device should offer support for dual-SIMs, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, 5G, and a Type-C port.
Vivo V21 5G: Pricing and availability
The official pricing and availability details of the Vivo V21 5G will be announced at the time of the launch, which is expected to take place on April 27. However, in India, the handset is tipped to cost around Rs. 25,000.
