Vivo S1 launched in India, price starts at Rs. 17,990
After a bunch of leaks and rumors, the Chinese tech giant Vivo has finally launched Vivo S1 in India. Notably, this handset is entirely different from the Chinese Vivo S1 which was launched back in March 2019. The key highlights of the smartphone include its waterdrop notch design, triple rear cameras, optical fingerprint sensor, and mid-level internals. Here's more.

Up front, the Vivo S1 features a waterdrop notched design with ultra-slim bezels on top and bottom. On the backside, the gradient finished panel houses a triple rear camera setup with LED flash. Further, the phone sports a 6.38-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and in-screen fingerprint sensor. Moreover, it is available Skyline Blue and Diamond Black color options.

For photography, the Vivo S1 sports a triple rear camera setup comprising a 16MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Up front, the phone sports a 32MP (f/2.0) selfie shooter housed in display cut-out. Moreover, both the front and rear cameras are capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps.

The Vivo S1 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P65 processor, paired with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. Under the hood, the phone runs Android Pie-based Funtouch OS 9 and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. Furthermore, the handset packs all standard sensors and latest connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11, VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, micro-USB port, and headphone jack.
Pricing and availability
As for the pocket pinch, the Vivo S1 costs Rs. 17,990 for the entry-level 4GB/128GB model, Rs. 18,990 for the mid-end 6GB/64GB variant, and Rs. 19,990 for the top-end model with 6GB/128GB configuration. The entry-level 4GB/128GB variant of the smartphone will be up for grabs starting August 8, while the other models will be available soon.
