Vivo S1 to be launched in India on August 15
Vivo is all set to launch a new premium mid-range Vivo S1 smartphone in India on August 15, according to a report. The global variant of the Vivo S1, which was launched in Indonesia yesterday, is completely different from the Chinese Vivo S1. The key highlights of the phone include its waterdrop notched design, triple rear cameras, and mid-level internals. Here's more.

The Vivo S1 features a waterdrop notched design with a thin bottom bezel. On the backside, it has a gradient finished panel with triple cameras and LED flash. The phone features a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED screen with full-HD+ resolution and an on-screen fingerprint sensor. Moreover, it will be available in Sky Blue and Dark Blue color options.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
On the imaging front, the Vivo S1 sports a triple rear camera setup comprising a 16MP main sensor, 8MP wide-angle sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor. Up front, it houses a 32MP front-facing shooter for selfies. Moreover, the main camera supports 4k videos at 30fps while the selfie camera can record 1080p videos at 30fps.
Under the hood
The Vivo S1 is powered by an all-new MediaTek Helio P65 octa-core chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and upto 128GB of storage. Under the hood, it runs Android Pie-based Funtouch OS 9 and packs a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging support. Moreover, it offers all standard sensors and connectivity options including support for dual-SIMs (nano), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro-USB port, and headphone jack.
Pricing and Availability
According to 91Mobiles, the Vivo S1 will go on sale in India starting August 15. It will be priced at Rs. 17,990 for the base-end model with 6GB/64GB configuration and will cost around Rs. 20,000 for the top-end 6GB/128GB variant. At this price point, it will lock horns with rivals such as Samsung Galaxy M40, Realme X, and the Redmi K20.
