Vivo launches Nex 3S 5G with 64MP camera, flagship internals
Chinese tech giant Vivo has launched a new flagship smartphone, the Nex 3S 5G, in its home country. The handset retains the design and cameras of its predecessor, the Nex 3, but comes with a more powerful Snapdragon 865 chipset and latest hardware components including LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. However, there is no word on its availability in India as of now.
A look at the Vivo Nex 3S 5G
The Nex 3S 5G sports a notch-less, hole-less waterfall screen with an impressive 99.6% screen-to-body ratio, achieved by adopting a pop-up selfie camera. The handset features a 6.89-inch full-HD+ (1080x2256 pixels) AMOLED display with aggressively curved edges and touch-sensitive controls for the power button as well as volume rockers. It also comes with HDR10+ support and houses an under-display fingerprint scanner.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The Vivo Nex 3S 5G features a triple-lens rear camera setup comprising a 64MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, a 13MP (f/2.5) telephoto lens, and another 13MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor. For selfies, video calling, and face unlock, the handset sports a 16MP (f/2.1) motorized pop-up camera. Further, the main camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps, while the selfie snapper can shoot full-HD videos at 30fps.
Under the hood
The Nex 3S 5G packs a Snapdragon 865 processor, coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Under the hood, it runs Android 10-based FunTouch OS 10 and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 44W fast-charging support. Moreover, the phone offers all the latest connectivity options including dual-mode 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Type-C port, and a headphone jack.
And, what about pricing?
In China, the Vivo Nex 3S 5G costs CNY 4,498 (approximately Rs. 50,000) for the 8GB/256GB model and CNY 5,298 (approximately Rs. 53,000) for top-of-the-line 12GB/256GB variant. However, it is yet to be revealed if the handset will hit Indian shelves or not.
