Vivo iQoo, a flagship gaming phone, launched at Rs. 32,000
As the first flagship under its new iQoo sub-brand, Vivo has launched the iQoo phone. The gaming-centric phone comes with a full-HD+ AMOLED display, triple rear cameras, in-display fingerprint sensor and top-end internals including flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset. In China, the phone comes at a starting price of 2,998 yuan or roughly Rs. 31,700. Here's our roundup.
Vivo iQoo: At a glance
The Vivo iQoo sports a waterdrop notched display with a slim bottom bezel and Monster Touch shoulder buttons on the side for a dedicated gaming experience. On the back, the 3D glass body features triple cameras, gradient design, and an LED strip. The phone comes with a 6.41-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) AMOLED display and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The Vivo iQoo sports a triple rear camera setup comprising a 12MP (f/1.79) main sensor, paired with a 13MP wide-angle sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, the phone gets a 12MP selfie camera.
Under the hood
The Vivo iQoo is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, coupled with 6GB/8GB/12GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage. Under the hood, there is a vapor cooling system that is claimed to reduce the handset temperature by upto 12-degree Celsius. Further, the phone runs Android Pie-based FunTouch OS and packs a 4,000mAh battery that supports Vivo's in-house Super Flash Charge technology.

The Vivo iQoo also comes with Multi-Turbo features that allow the users to switch between AI Turbo, Centre Turbo, Net Turbo, Cooling Turbo, and Game Turbo modes for customized performance. Lastly, the phone offers all the standard connectivity options including support for dual-SIMs, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
Pricing and availability
Vivo iQoo starts at 2,998 yuan (Rs. 31,700) for the 6GB/128GB model. The mid-end 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants are priced at 3,298 yuan (Rs. 34,900) and 3,598 yuan (Rs. 38,100), respectively. The top-end 12GB/256GB iQoo model costs 4,298 yuan (Rs. 45,500). Lastly, while the phone will go on sale in China starting March 6, Vivo is yet to announce its global availability.
