Vivo's gaming phone, iQoo Neo, goes official in China
What's the story
As an addition to its gaming-centric iQoo series, Vivo has launched its all-new iQoo Neo smartphone in China.
The performance-oriented phone comes with a bunch of gaming features including liquid cooling technology, touch acceleration, e-sports mode, and flagship grade internals.
Notably, the pre-bookings for the handset are underway via Vivo's e-store and other major online sales channels across China.

Design and display
At a glance
Up front, the Vivo iQoo Neo comes with a waterdrop notched design with a noticeable bezel at the bottom. On the rear, it houses a triple rear camera with an LED flash and gradient design.
Talking about the display, the handset gets a 6.38-inch AMOLED screen with full HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and an optical fingerprint sensor.
Cameras

The Vivo iQoo Neo houses a triple rear camera with 12MP (f/1.8) main sensor, 8MP (f/2.2) secondary sensor, and another 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor.
Up front, the phone gets a 12MP (f/2.0) single selfie camera.
Moreover, the rear camera is capable of recording 2160p at 30fps, while the selfie camera can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.

The Vivo iQoo Neo is fueled by a powerful Snapdragon 845 processor, coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM and of 64GB/128GB of storage.
The phone runs on Android Pie-based Funtouch OS 9 and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 22.5W fast-charging support.
In addition, the handset gets all standard sensors and connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack.

And, what about pricing?
As for the pocket pinch, the Vivo iQoo Neo is priced at CNY 1,798 (approximately Rs. 18,100) for its base-end model with 6GB/64GB configuration, while the top-of-the-line 8GB/128GB variant is available at CNY 2,298 (approximately Rs. 23,100).
Meanwhile, the pre-bookings for the handset are underway via all major online retail channels across China, while it is slated to go on sale from July 8.
