Vivo announces price cuts on these Y series smartphones
In a bid to boost sales, Vivo is offering massive discounts on its budget-friendly Y series smartphones in India. The Chinese tech giant has reduced the prices of Y91, Y91i, and Y12 models by upto Rs. 1,000, according to 91Mobiles. Notably, the discount will be applicable across all leading brick-and-mortar stores throughout the festive season till October 29. Here's more.
Vivo Y12: The mid-range offering with impressive design
The mid-ranger Vivo Y12 will be available at Rs. 10,990 (previous price: Rs. 11,990). Up front, the handset features a 6.35-inch notched display with an HD+ resolution while on the rear, the dual-tone gradient finished panel houses triple cameras and physical fingerprint scanner. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 processor, coupled with upto 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and a solid 5,000mAh battery.
Here's a look at the Vivo Y12's cameras
The Vivo Y12 houses a triple rear camera module comprising a 13MP (f/2.2) main sensor, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. On the front, the phone sports an 8MP (f/2.2) camera for selfies and video calling.
Vivo Y91: The budget handset to satisfy basic smartphone needs
With a flat discount of Rs. 1,000, the Vivo Y91 now starts at Rs. 8,990. The phone features a waterdrop notched design with a 6.22-inch HD+ screen. On the rear, it houses a dual camera module and a fingerprint scanner. Powering the handset is a Snapdragon 439 processor, upto 3GB RAM, upto 32GB storage, and a 4,030mAh battery.
Vivo Y91: For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The dual rear cameras on the Vivo Y91 include a 13MP (f/2.2) primary sensor and a secondary 2MP (f/2.4) lens to capture depth details. For selfies, video calling, and face unlock, there is an 8MP (f/1.8) front-facing snapper.
Vivo Y91i: The entry-level offering
Lastly, the entry-level Vivo Y91i will be up for grabs at Rs. 7,490, which is Rs. 500 cheaper than its marked price. Featuring a familiar waterdrop notched design, the phone sports a 6.22-inch display with an HD+ resolution. Under the hood, it is fueled by MediaTek Helio P22 processor and 4,030mAh battery. As for memory options, the phone gets 2GB RAM and 16GB/32GB storage.
What's the camera like on Vivo Y91i
In terms of optics, the Vivo Y91i comes with a 13MP (f/2.2) rear camera and a 5MP (f/1.8) front-facing camera. The main camera on the phone supports features such as HDR, panorama, face-detection, and can record 1080p videos at 30fps.
