India's first electric hypercar Vazirani Shul coming to Mumbai
Vazirani Shul, the vehicle that marked India's entry into the electric hypercar segment, is coming to Mumbai in a few days. The hypercar is the creation of Vazirani Automotive co-founder and chief designer Chunky Vazirani. It was first unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, and will now be showcased at an event on September 26. Here's what we know about it.
Power, looks, and everything in between: The perfect sports-car
Though Vazirani Shul's exact specifications are under the wraps, there's no denying the fact that it will be a complete beast. It features a light carbon-fiber monocoque chassis, similar to BMW i8, and is powered with a jet turbine engine that uses four high-power electric motors, each placed beside a wheel. The motors deliver torque-heavy performance and boost acceleration while keeping the vehicle stable.
This hypercar can even run on petrol
The four electric motors bundled with Shul are powered with a 300-kg battery pack, but the company has said it can even run on petrol, making it capable of working with existing infrastructure.
Designed to be drag efficient, race-track ready
Shul has been designed after a series of wind tunnel tests to keep the vehicle drag efficient. The finely-crafted chassis of the hypercar doesn't weigh much and is bundled with Michelin tyres and Brembo brakes - all of which make it ready to hit the race track. Not to mention, inputs from Force India F1 Team have also been implemented to make the vehicle.
No word on pricing, availability yet
A hypercar can never come cheap, but as of now, there is no word on how much buyers will have to shell for Vazirani Shul. While we expect to get more information in the upcoming event, pricing and availability elements are likely to be announced sometime next year. The production is expected to be based out of Vazirani automative's design studio in California.
