Galaxy S10 to iPhone XI: 7 most-anticipated smartphones of 2019
From all-screen design to increasing cameras, smartphones have seen some great innovations in 2018. And things are set to dramatically enhance in 2019. While Samsung is gearing to launch a foldable smartphone and S10 flagships, HMD Global is working on Nokia 9 with five cameras, and the iPhone XI is set to sport 3D cameras. Here's a sneak peek at what's coming in 2019.
Samsung Galaxy S10: Expected to launch in February 2019
Samsung is expected to launch three variants of its Galaxy S10 flagship on February 20. According to reports, the S10+ and S10 will feature 6.44-inch and 6.11-inch Infinity-O displays, triple rear-camera, and pack high-end internals including an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. Then there's a low-budget Galaxy S10 Lite variant which will sport a 5.75-inch display, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and pack trimmed down specs.
Samsung 'Beyond X': Expected to launch in March 2019
Codenamed 'Beyond X', this is will be Galaxy S10's 5G-ready variant. The phone is reported to sport a 6.6-inch display, a total of six cameras (dual front-camera and quad rear-camera), a built-in 5G wireless chip, and will support reverse wireless charging. According to a previous report, Beyond X is likely to pack 12GB of RAM, 1TB of internal storage and Exynos Modem 5100 chip.
Samsung's foldable phone: Expected to launch in March 2019
Perhaps, one of the most anticipated phones of 2019 is Samsung's foldable smartphone. It will sport a 7.3-inch main internal display and a 4.6-inch external screen. It will reportedly come with a triple camera setup, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9810 chipset, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage and 6,000mAh battery. Running on a special Android version, it will be priced at around $1,770 (Rs 1,30,000).
Nokia 9 PureView: Expected to launch in January
HMD Global is expected to launch the Nokia 9 PureView sometime in the last week of January. According to leaks and reports, the phone will house a novel five-camera setup on the back, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a notch-free 6-inch screen. Further, we expect to see Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or Snapdragon 855 chipset, 8GB RAM, 256GB of internal storage and stock Android Pie.
Huawei P30 Pro: Expected to launch in February 2018
As the successor to the P20 Pro, Huawei is expected to launch P30 Pro at Mobile World Congress in February. The phone will reportedly come with a waterdrop notched display, a quad rear-camera setup with 10x lossless zoom support, and a single selfie camera. Moreover, it is expected to run on Kirin 980 processor, paired with upto 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage.
OnePlus's 5G smartphone: Expected to launch in "early 2019"
OnePlus is working to launch a 5G-ready flagship smartphone in early 2019 in Europe. Recently, an image of OnePlus's upcoming flagship was leaked online, revealing a new design with a circular camera hub on the back panel. Moreover, Pete Lau, the company's CEO, has already confirmed that the flagship will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset.
Apple iPhone XI: Expected to launch in September
Apple will continue with its annual cycle to launch the successor to iPhone Xs and Xs Max. While there won't be a major design overhaul, we expect the upcoming batch of iPhones to come with Sony's 3D cameras to offer improved photography, faster biometric authentication, and immersive AR and VR experiences.
