The year 2017 has so far been the year of bezel-less, edge-to-edge display smartphones. Bezel-less devices are the next big thing now, and almost every major device maker is focusing on making phones with minimal or no bezels. There have been some exciting "full view" smartphone launches this year for every budget. Here are such top infinity display devices one can buy in India!
Going bezel-less within budget: Smartphones under Rs. 15,000
Here are the budget-friendly bezel-less smartphones priced under Rs. 15,000. At Rs. 9,999, Micromax Canvas Infinity is the most affordable bezel-less handset. It has 5.7-inch display, 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 425 processor, 2,900mAh battery, 16MP front and 13MP rear cameras. LG Q6, priced at Rs. 14,999, comes with 5.5-inch display, 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 435 processor, 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras, and 3,000mAh battery.
Another variant of LG Q6
LG launched another model of LG Q6 infinity display smartphone called "LG Q6+", priced at Rs. 17,990, which comes with the same 5.5-inch display. However, it comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage compared to LG Q6's 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.
Chinese bezel-less phones in mid-range segment
Huawei launched Honor 9i for Rs. 17,999. It comes with a 5.9-inch bezel-less display, 4GB RAM, and 16MP+2MP dual primary camera. Vivo's selfie-focused Vivo V7+ is priced at Rs. 21,990. It has 5.99-inch "Full View" display, 4GB RAM, and 24MP front camera. Gionee would unveil its first bezel-less phone "M7 Power" on 15 November; it is expected to be priced at around Rs. 19,000-20,000.
Xiaomi's premium bezel-less Mi Mix 2 available for Rs. 35,999
Last month, Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi launched its first ever bezel-less smartphone, Mi Mix 2, in India for Rs. 35,999. The high-end device sports a 5.99-inch edge-to-edge "Full View" display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It comes with a ceramic rear panel, Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, 3,400mAh battery, a 5MP selfie shooter and a 12MP rear camera.
Samsung's Galaxy S8/S8+ and Note 8 devices
Samsung has taken the bezel-less technology to the next level with its latest devices. At Rs. 53,900, the Galaxy S8 comes with 5.8-inch Infinity Display while the S8+, available for Rs. 58,900, has a 6.2-inch Full View display. The Galaxy Note 8, one of the hottest new phones, is priced at Rs. 67,900. It comes with a 6.3-inch Super QHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display.
Google's "big screen" Pixel 2 XL
With the launch of Pixel 2 XL, Google also joined the league of bezel-less smartphone makers. It sports a 6-inch QHD+ P-OLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. However, users are facing issues with its screen. It has Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, and 3,520mAh battery. The 64GB variant is priced at Rs. 73,000, while the 128GB model is available for Rs. 82,000.
Apple's "almost" full-screen iPhone X
Apple iPhone X, unveiled in September, comes with an "edge-to-edge" 5.8-inch OLED display but has a notch on the top for sensors. There is no home button, and the TouchID is replaced with FaceID on the premium device. The 64GB iPhone X variant is priced Rs. 89,000 while the 256GB variant, Rs. 1,02,000. The latest Apple smartphone also supports wireless charging.
