TikTok to challenge Instagram with its photo-sharing app TikTok Notes
TikTok is set to take on Instagram's dominance in the photo-sharing app market with its new platform, TikTok Notes. The company unveiled its plans through a user notification, as reported by TechCrunch. The announcement also stated that all existing and future public photo posts on TikTok will be accessible on TikTok Notes, offering users the option to opt out.

TikTok Notes: A dedicated space for photo sharing
A previously unseen URL, photo.tiktok.com, was briefly available online. The site showcased a placeholder image with the text "Opening in TikTok Notes." An official release date for the app is yet to be announced by TikTok. "As part of our continued commitment to innovating the TikTok experience, we're exploring ways to empower our community to create and share their creativity with photos and text in a dedicated space for those formats," the company said.
TikTok Notes poised to rival Instagram
Hints of a potential TikTok photo-sharing app surfaced last month when tipster TheSpAndroid discovered code within the app indicating the development of an app called TikTok Photos. It now appears that the app is nearing its official launch and could pose significant competition to Instagram. It's expected that TikTok Notes will be preloaded with photos already shared by TikTok users, eliminating the need for an initial user base.
