Thomson launches new range of 4K Android TVs in India
Taking on the likes of Xiaomi, TCL, and Vu, France-based electronics manufacturer Thomson has launched a new range of Android TVs in India at a starting price of Rs. 29,999. The new models, available in four display sizes, offer 4K resolution, Dolby Audio, and run on the latest Android TV software. Here's all about them.
The new range offers options ranging from 43-inch to 65-inch
Thomson's latest range offers four TV sizes - 43 inch, 50 inch, 55 inch, and 65 inch. All of these models feature LED panels and offer 4K picture resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) as well as HDR 10 support. Further, these Thomson TVs also pack 30W speakers with Dolby audio and DTS TruSurround support for an immersive viewing experience.
All the models run on official Android TV interface
All the new models run on the official Android TV software, with the latest Android Oreo version pre-loaded along with a bunch of popular apps such as Google Play Movies, Google Play Music, YouTube, and Netflix. Moreover, as part of the official platform, these TVs offer access to the official Google Play Store which currently has over 5,000 apps for Android TVs.
The TVs also offer built-in Chromecast and Google Assistant
All the aforementioned TVs come with a quad-core A53 chipset, 2.5GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and built-in Chromecast for casting with compatible devices. Moreover, these models also get built-in Google Assistant which can be quickly accessed via a dedicated button on the TV remote.

The new range starts with the 43-inch model which is priced at Rs. 29,999. Then you have the 50-inch and 55-inch variants which cost Rs. 34,999 and Rs. 38,999, respectively. Lastly, there is the 65-inch model which comes with a price tag of Rs. 59,999. All these TVs will go on sale starting June 14 via Flipkart.
