Now, eat and use your smartphone simultaneously using this device
Are your hands glued to your smartphone 24X7? Do you have trouble eating and concentrating on Instagram stories at the same time? We know a solution. Try using this newly-invented phone case which has a reusable spoon and a fork attached to it. You can scroll down the cutlery from the case and eat your food while simultaneously using your smartphone without any hassle.
Environment-friendly: Device encourages to reuse cutlery over using disposable ones
The combination of a phone case and the cutlery items have been given a unique and ingenious name- sphoon-phork. The phone is listed on Kickstarter and creators revealed that it took them almost a year to achieve the perfect design. They also made sure to keep it environment-friendly as it'll encourage people to reuse the cutlery instead of using disposable, plastic-made spoon and fork.
A new chapter in our history has begun, says description
The product description on the page has quite a dramatic start, which reads, "For over 12,000 years, humankind has strived to create a perfect civilization. We invented agriculture. We invented the wheel. We created a system of laws. We sent people to space. Now, a new chapter in our history has begun." Umm, do they mean the chapter of glorifying unrealistic inventions?
A two-in-one solution?
Price starts at Rs. 2,000 for one case
For those who are interested, the price for the sphoon-phork case starts at S$39 or Rs. 2,043 for one pair of sphoon and phork. For multiple cases and the cultery, the price ranges from S$45 (Rs. 2,359) to S$299 (Rs. 15,668). At the moment, the case is only available for some limited smartphones, which includes iPhone 7, 8, X, and Xs.
Cases for Samsung, Huawei, Google Pixel to arrive soon
Don't worry, the creators will soon release the cases for other smartphones- iPhone Xs Max, Xr, and 8 Plus; Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9 Plus, and Galaxy Note 9; Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, and P20 Pro; Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
Is it practical or just another idealistic invention?
For now, the case and the cutlery is available only in white, but the creators have assured that more colors will arrive soon. Now, although their ad looks promising, we aren't sure how pragmatic the product will be. In fact, the device seems to be one of those which doesn't really serve a realistic need but rather creates one. Only time will tell!
