This novel 'gaming bed' will let you rest and play
Every diehard gamer hates the time when they have to leave the couch for bed, to lie down and rest. It is annoying, but now there is a handy solution on offer: A dedicated 'gaming bed' to let you continue playing your favorite titles while being completely on the 'rest mode'. Is humanity going forward or backward?
Bauhutte's ultimate new Gaming Bed
Building on the concept of gaming chair, Bauhutte, a Japanese retailer specializing in custom furniture aimed at gamers, has come up with the 'ultimate gaming bed desk'. The novel piece of furniture, as the name suggests, offers a combination of bed and disk, which would let you lie down and continue with your gaming sessions as long as needed.
What this bed looks like?
Straight out of the scary future, the Bauhutte gaming bed packs an elevated headboard with a desk at the foot to place your PC and its monitor. Then, you can further accessorize the set-up with up to eight Bauhutte products, including rolling snack shelves, an adjustable keyboard tray, tablet holder, and even a gamer's blanket and bean bag pillow.
You won't have to move with this, but questions remain
Once created, the gaming bed set-up will let you play while resting at the same time. The rig ensures that everything remains next to you during long gaming sessions and the only thing you have to get up for is going to the bathroom. However, it remains unclear what effect this bed will have on an individual's sleep pattern. (No points for guessing!)
How much the bed will cost you?
If you just buy the basic bed and desk combination, the gaming bed will cost you around $300. However, going for the full rig with up to eight different products from Bauhutte will add to the cost and take the price up to a little over $1,000. The price is justified (?) but only for those who are dedicated to hours of gaming.
