Airtel Rs. 399 plan offers free 1-year Amazon Prime membership
Since Reliance Jio disrupted the telecom industry, the competition has grown manifolds. And in a bid to attract new subscribers and retain existing ones, telcos are updating their plans to provide more data and added benefits. In the latest development, Bharti Airtel has revised its Rs. 399 postpaid plan to offer free annual membership of Amazon Prime and other benefits. Here's more about it.
What is Airtel offering in the Rs. 399 postpaid plan?
Under the revised plan, Airtel is offering unlimited national calls, 100 daily SMSes, and 40GB monthly 3G/4G data with rollover facility of up to 200GB. More importantly, the plan also comes with free annual membership of Amazon Prime which costs Rs. 999. Additionally, the telco is also offering a free subscription to Wynk Music, Airtel TV and a Rs. 51 Amazon Pay Gift Card.
Airtel is also offering Rs. 50 discount for six months
As an addition to the aforementioned benefits, Airtel is offering a flat Rs. 50 monthly discount on the bill for six months. This means that this Rs. 399 monthly plan will cost you Rs. 349 for the first six months.
How to redeem the free Amazon Prime membership?
To redeem the free Amazon Prime membership with your postpaid plan, open your Airtel TV or My Airtel app. On the Airtel TV app, click on the Amazon Prime banner on the home screen and follow steps to claim free membership. On the My Airtel app, click on 'Airtel Thanks' banner and then on 'Amazon Prime' membership option to redeem your free Prime membership.
Benefits of Amazon Prime Membership
Apart from early access to Amazon's sale, Prime members also get unlimited free deliveries, free access to Prime Video and ad-free music streaming on Prime Music.
Vodafone and BSNL also offer free Amazon Prime membership
Notably, Vodafone provides free annual Amazon Prime membership under its RED postpaid monthly plans of Rs. 399, Rs. 499, Rs. 999, Rs. 1,299, Rs. 1,999 and Rs. 2,999. Further, the state-run telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has also recently started offering free Amazon Prime subscription with all its postpaid and broadband landline plans starting at Rs. 399 and Rs. 749, respectively.
