Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 10 to get in-display ultrasonic fingerprint-scanner

Samsung has confirmed that its upcoming flagship devices will feature an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
Speaking at an event in China, Samsung Mobile Head DJ Koh said that the company has opted for an ultrasonic sensor over an optical fingerprint technology, adding that the former offers a better user experience.

All about the in-display fingerprint sensor
Samsung has said that it will offer an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on its 10th anniversary edition, Galaxy S10.
Moreover, Samsung CEO Guo Minghao said that this fingerprint scanning technology will also be offered on Galaxy Note 10 and on Galaxy A series smartphones, which will be released in 2019.
This suggests the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 will not feature this technology.

According to reports, Samsung is likely to offer three variants for its Galaxy S10 flagship which will be launched in 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.4-inch display sizes.
The 6.4-inch and 6.1-inch variants will come with top-end specs and will feature the in-display fingerprint reader while the 5.8-inch model will most likely get a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

According to reports, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will get a 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio and dual rear cameras.
The phablet is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor/Samsung Exynos 9810 chipset, paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage
