Android 9 Pie: Is your phone getting Google's latest dessert?
Though Android Q's release is just months away, many are still waiting for Android 9 Pie to show up on their smartphones. The update cycle for Android, unlike iOS, is slow and OEMs don't release updates for every single device they make. Some high-end units see two updates, while others may not even get one. Here's the list of phones that will get Pie.
First up, what you get with Android 9 Pie
Google announced Android Pie on August 6 last year and started rolling it out immediately on Pixel phones. The update, as the search giant promised, brings major improvements over Android Oreo in the form of gesture navigation, redesigned app overview screen, and quick settings. Plus, you also get features like Digital Wellbeing, Adaptive Battery and Adaptive Brightness for better user experience.
