Xiaomi rolls out Android TV 9 update for these TVs
Xiaomi has started releasing the latest Android-tv'>Android TV 9 update for the Mi TV 4A Pro 32-inch and Mi TV 4C Pro 32-inch models. The new firmware will be available for both the models as an over-the-air (OTA) update. The company has also confirmed that other Pro and non-Pro Mi TVs will also get the Android update pretty soon. How to update your Mi TV?
Since Xiaomi is rolling out the update through over-the-air update, it will automatically reach your Mi TV model over the next few days. However, you can also manually check for the availability of the update. To get started, head over to Settings > Device Preferences > About > System Update. If the new firmware is available for you, simply download and install it.
What's new in Android TV 9 update?
Interestingly, Xiaomi hasn't shared what's new in the Android TV 9.0 update for its Mi TVs. However, going by Google's announcement for Android TV 9.0, you should see some tweaks in the user interface, performance enhancements, Autofill with Google feature, revamped Setting app, and more.
Recalling the 32-inch Mi TV 4C Pro, 4A Pro models
Meanwhile, both the 32-inch Mi TV 4C Pro and 4A Pro feature a 32-inch HD Ready LED displays with 60Hz refresh rate and 178-degree viewing angle. Under the hood, they are powered by a quad-core Amlogic Cortex-A53 CPU, paired with Mali-450 GPU, 1GB RAM, and 8GB storage. Further, they come with DTS-HD audio, two 10W speakers, Android-based PatchWall UI, and a Bluetooth voice-controlled remote.
These TVs also come loaded with 700,000 hours of content
According to Xiaomi, both the models come loaded with more than 700,00 hours of content. The tech giant has partnered with several content providers including Prime Video, Jio Cinema, Eros Now, HOOQ, ALTBalaji, Hungama, SonyLIV, Voot, Viu and TVF among others.
