These Huawei smartphones will soon receive Android Pie in India
Huawei will "soon" start rolling out EMUI 9 update in India for the P20 Pro and Nova 3 smartphones, according to a teaser posted by the company. However, Huawei has not specified a timeline. In India, the Android Pie-based firmware introduces all features of the global build along with some country-specific add-ons like Paytm integration, local language support, and an Indian calendar. What's new in the EMUI 9 update?
The EMUI 9 update brings all the new features and UI of Android Pie including gesture-based navigation, adaptive battery, and adaptive brightness, among others. Huawei has also introduced its own tweaks such as HiVision, HiTouch, GPU Turbo 2.0, and a PC Mode as well. Moreover, EMUI 9 also comes with some country-specific features such as Paytm integration, an Indian calendar, and local language support.
Globally, Huawei has released EMUI 9 for these smartphones
To recall, last month, Huawei started rolling out EMUI 9 update for seven of its smartphones including Huawei Mate 10, Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Pro, Honor 10, Honor Play and Honor View 10. Notably, this rollout came as a global release and several users of these aforementioned smartphones have already received the update.
