    What's the story

As HTC announced an event it has planned in Taiwan on November 2, rumors are rife that the company will launch the successor to the six-month-old U11 on that day.

Though media invites confirm a U series smartphone launch, they haven't mentioned the HTC U11 Plus.

There are guesses about other possible launches, including of the U11 Life, a smaller version of the U11.

The U11 was launched in India at Rs. 51,990. It came with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 16MP front camera, 12MP rear camera, and IP67 rating.

The highlight was Edge Sense: it lets users squeeze the phone to make it perform specific operations.

However, HTC opted out of a 18:9 bezel-less display, which has now become all too common.
