TECNO reveals tri-fold smartphone, AI glasses at MWC 2025
What's the story
TECNO, a known player in the mobile industry, has showcased its latest innovations at the Mobile World Congress (MWC).
The company launched a bunch of standard products. However, the biggest highlight of the event was a physical prototype of a tri-folding device, the PHANTOM Ultimate 2, which will provide a pocket-sized large-screen experience.
This comes after Huawei launched the first tri-foldable phone in 2024 and Samsung gears up to release its own rival later this year.

At MWC 2025, TECNO also unveiled its vision for AI integration across a connected ecosystem.
Under the theme "Create the AI Future," the company showcased how TECNO AI enriches user experiences across devices. These include smartphones, AI glasses, laptops, tablets, smartwatches, and earphones.
The event also saw the launch of TECNO CAMON 40 series device for advanced photography with high-speed image capture function and AI-powered tools.

Expansion into AI glasses and laptops
Along with smartphones, TECNO is also expanding its AI ecosystem with the launch of its first TECNO AI Glasses.
The company also unveiled the MegaBook S14, which it touts as the world's lightest 14-inch laptop with a 2.8K OLED display.
These new products highlight TECNO's commitment to bringing advanced technology into everyday devices for improved user experiences.

Concept devices and breakthrough technologies
Beyond core products, TECNO is also showing off other concept devices and breakthrough technologies.
The Spark Slim concept smartphone brings an ultra-thin design with a 5,000mAh+ battery, a take on the Galaxy S25 Edge and rumored iPhone 17 Air.
TECNO also unveiled Starry Optical Fiber, a material that integrates mini-LEDs into a smartphone's battery cover. The innovative feature was showcased on PHANTOM V Fold 2 5G Space Expedition Version at MWC 2025 in Barcelona.
