What's the story
Tata Motors, in partnership with Coimbatore-based Jayem Automotives, has officially launched the Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP in India. The companies have introduced both the cars under a 50:50 joint venture known as JT Special Vehicles (JTSV). Notably, the JTP models are also more powerful than their respective standard variants. Design
Let's take a look at both the cars
Right off the bat, both the JTP models of the Tata Tiago and Tata Tigor look largely similar to their respective standard variants. They sport a cascading grille, trapezoidal air-intakes, and diamond-cut alloy wheels. However, the JTP variants come with contrast colored ORVMs, a revised bumper, and a JTP badging on the grille.

Inside the cabin
Inside, both the Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP sport a five-seater cabin featuring fabric upholstery and a leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel. As for electronic features, both models offer climate control, eight-speaker sound system, and Harman-sourced 7-inch touchscreen infotainment that offers support for connectivity features like Android Auto and Apple Carplay
Engine
Power and performance
The Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP are powered by a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine which is capable of producing 112bhp of power and 150Nm of peak torque. For transmission duties, both cars get a five-speed manual gearbox. Moreover, both the JTP models can accelerate from 0-100kmph in under 10 seconds.

Both Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP come equipped with disc brake on the front and drum brake on the rear wheels along with ABS, EBD, and corner stability control for improved road handling. Further, both models sport dual front airbags and rear parking sensors.

Finally, what about pricing?
As for the pocket pinch, the Tata Tiago JTP is priced at 6.69 lakh and the Tata Tigor JTP costs Rs. 7.59 lakh in India. However, the standard model of the Tata Tiago is available at Rs. 4.39-6.61 lakh price range, while the standard Tata Tigor falls under Rs. 5.49-7.69 lakh price bracket.
