Suzuki Burgman Street 125's bookings open, may launch in July
Suzuki Motorcycles India is now accepting bookings for its most premium and expensive scooter in India - the Suzuki Burgman Street 125. According to reports, this flagship Suzuki scooter is expected to launch in India next month. The scooter will be positioned above the Suzuki Access 125 and can be booked for Rs. 5,000 across all Suzuki Motorcycle dealerships in the country. Here's more.
At a glance
The Burgman Street 125 is inspired from Suzuki's Burgman range of maxi-scooters which are available in international markets. The upcoming scooter will feature a large apron and windscreen, LED headlight integrated into the panel, extra-long seat and full-digital instrument panel. The Burgman Street is also likely to have the best-in-class underseat storage, a multi-function key slot, a 12V charging socket and an LED tail-lamp.
The Burgman Street will borrow Suzuki Access 125's engine
The Burgman Street is expected to have the same motor as the Suzuki Access 125. Hence, the upcoming maxi-scooter is likely to be powered by 124.3cc, air-cooled engine that makes 8.6hp of power at 6,500rpm and 10.2Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm.
It will also retain the cycle parts of Access 125
The Burgman Street 125 will also retain the suspension setup seen on the Suzuki Access 125 i.e. a front telescopic fork and rear monoshock. For its braking performance, the scooter is said to come equipped with a front disc brake and a drum unit at the rear, along with Combined Braking System (CBS) as standard fitment.
What about its price?
Considering there aren't any mechanical changes made to the Burgman Street 125, it is expected to cost Rs. 5,000-7,000 more than the Suzuki Access 125 SE, which is priced at Rs. 60,580 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
