Sound One launches pocket-friendly Bluetooth speaker for Rs. 1,200
Expanding its portfolio of audio accessories, Hong Kong-based Sound One has launched a new portable speaker in India. Dubbed as 'Shell', it is touted to offer a waterproof and shockproof build quality and is compatible with all devices that support Bluetooth pairing. Notably, as part of an introductory offer, the speaker is available at just Rs. 1,190. Here's our roundup.
Sound One Shell features a waterproof silicon body
Sound One Shell is made from silicon rubber which makes it shockproof and waterproof. However, considering the company is only claiming an IPX5 build quality, it may not be swimming-friendly. That said, with a hockey puck-like design, the speaker is pretty portable and can be easily carried around in a bag or even a pocket, or simply be placed in a bookshelf at home.
Sound One Shell comes with Bluetooth 5.0 support
To note, the Sound One Shell comes with support for Bluetooth 5.0, allowing for a claimed connectivity range of up to 45 feet. It also offers an audio output of 5W and supports Bluetooth calling as well. The speaker packs a 1,200mAh battery which promises a playtime time of up to 8 hours and can fully juice up in around 2 hours.

The Sound One Shell is priced Rs. 2,190. Meanwhile, as part of a limited time period offer, it is available at just Rs. 1,190. The speaker comes with a 1-year warranty and will be available via Amazon, Flipkart, and other retail outlets.
