As the successor to its mid-range Xperia A2 lineup, Sony is working to launch several smartphones in the Xperia XA3 series. While the Xperia XA3 and Xperia XA3 Ultra have passed certification in Russia, details about Xperia XA3 Plus have surfaced now. The phone is said to sport a Snapdragon 600-series chipset, full-HD+ display and will be unveiled at CES 2019. Here's our roundup.
Sony Xperia XA3 Plus: Everything we know so far
According to DroidShout, the Sony Xperia XA3 Plus is expected to feature a larger display measuring over 6.0-inches and will have a full-HD+ resolution. Moreover, the phone is said to have an aspect ratio of around 18:9 or more. The blog also claims that Xperia XA3 Plus will launch in three colors - Black, Gold, and Silver.
What else to expect from Xperia XA3 Plus?
Given Xperia XA2 Plus comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset, we can expect the Xperia XA3 Plus to get a more powerful Snapdragon 600-series chipset and run Android Pie out-of-the-box. Further, looking at the renders of XA3 and XA3 Ultra, we can expect XA3 Plus to carry similar design features including thin bezels, glass chassis, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

As per earlier leaks, Xperia XA3 will get a 5.9-inch full-HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 660 chipset, 6GB RAM, 64GB storage and run Android Pie. Likewise, Xperia XA3 Ultra will sport a larger 6.5-inch display and is expected to have the same internals as XA3. Further, both the phones should support dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/A-GPS, 4G VoLTE, and USB Type-C port.
Pricing and availability
Citing a "trusted source" with information about Sony Xperia XA3 Plus' pricing, DroidShout claims the phone will be priced at EUR 519 (approx. Rs. 41,500) in Europe. However, details about the phone's availability in other regions are not known as of now.
Alongside XA3 series, Sony to launch Xperia L3 as well
Alongside the Xperia XA3, Xperia XA3 Plus, and Xperia XA3 Ultra, Sony is expected to launch Xperia L3 as well. As per DroidShout, the phone will have a 5.7-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) display along with an 18:9 aspect ratio and side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Xperia L3 is also expected to sport a dual rear-camera setup and run Android Pie out of the box.
