Sony PS5 Slim gets cheaper by ₹5,000; now costs ₹49,990
Sony has announced a "Summer Sale" for its recently launched PlayStation 5 Slim in India. The sale, which runs from May 1 to May 14 or until stocks last, offers a ₹5,000 discount on the PS5 Slim Disc Edition. This reduces the console's price from ₹54,990 to ₹49,990 and applies exclusively to models: CFI-2008A01 and CFI-2008B01. Meanwhile, the PS5 Slim Digital Edition will continue to retail at its original price of ₹44,990.
It is available across various retailers
The discounted PS5 Slim can be purchased from a range of online and physical stores. These include Amazon, Croma, Sony Center, Flipkart, Reliance, Vijay Sales, and other participating retailers. Earlier this month, Sony India announced a promotional discount of up to ₹13,000 on older disc-edition model of the PS5 with model number CFI-1208A01R. However, the PS5 Slim was not included in this offer.

The PS5 Slim is a more compact and lightweight version of the standard PS5, with a volume reduction of over 30% and weight reduction of up to 24%. It features a detachable disc drive and slightly larger internal storage of 1TB compared to the regular PS5's 825GB custom SSD. The console, launched in India earlier this month, is also available for purchase on instant grocery platform Blinkit with 10-minute deliveries supported in select cities.
