Sennheiser takes on Apple's AirPods Pro with ANC-enabled Momentum earbuds
As a follow up to its highly-rated Momentum True Wireless earphones, Sennheiser has launched the Momentum True Wireless 2 earbuds. The second-generation model aims to take on the Apple AirPods Pro and Samsung Galaxy Buds+ with an impressive battery life of up to 28 hours, active noise cancellation support, and other nifty improvements. Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2: At a glance
Design-wise, the Momentum True Wireless 2 looks almost the same as its predecessor except for being 2mm smaller. You get the reliable in-ear design with adjustable ear tips to help you find the best fit. On the outside, you still have the same touchpad controls for controlling music, calls, and activating smart assistant. The earbuds are also IPX4-rated for sweat and some water-resistance.
It also supports ANC and passthrough modes
The Momentum True Wireless 2 supports active noise cancellation feature wherein the built-in microphones and some software trickery help to remove background noise. There is also a passthrough mode that basically lets in more ambient sound.
The earbuds offer up to 28 hours of battery backup
The Sennheiser earbuds come with Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity and support Qualcomm aptX as well as AAC codecs. As for compatibility, you can pair connect the earphones with Android as well as iOS devices. Finally, improvements in battery life are impressive. The earbuds now promise 7 hours (4 hours on the previous-gen model) of playback, and the case provides three additional charges
Pricing and availability
The Momentum True Wireless 2 are priced at $300 (approx. Rs. 22,200), the same price at which the original earbuds were launched. It will be available in the US and Europe from April onwards.
