Samsung's foldable phone teased, will be unveiled on February 20
Samsung will unveil its much-awaited foldable phone alongside the Galaxy S10 flagships next week. The company has tweeted a teaser video which says "the future of mobile will unfold on February 20, 2019." Notably, back in November last year, Samsung had confirmed the novel smartphone by giving the world a brief look at its design and foldable mechanism. Here's everything we know so far.

To recall, in November last year, Samsung had briefly showcased the device but hid key details by showing the phone in a dark environment and partially covering it in a case. However, the company did highlight the out-folding nature of the phone, revealing how it could offer features of a tablet when open and the candy bar phone form factor when closed.
Here are some 'rumored' specifications of the foldable phone
As per previous leaks and reports, Samsung's foldable phone will sport a 7.3-inch main internal display, a 4.6-inch external screen, and a triple camera setup. Under the hood, it will come with an Exynos 9820 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Further, the device is rumored to pack a 6,000mAh battery and run a special version of Android.
Samsung will only 'unveil' its foldable phone on February 20
We expect Samsung to give us a more detailed look of the device but perhaps, not launch it. This is because a full-fledged launch would eclipse Galaxy S10 flagships that are equally, if not more, crucial for the company. Moreover, a Korean report had previously claimed that Samsung would officially launch its foldable phone in March 2019, alongside Galaxy S10 5G variant.

DJ Koh, the chief of Samsung Mobile had previously said that the company would ship at least 1 million units of its foldable phone. Hence, we know the device will be made available globally. Further, an earlier report claimed that the smartphone will be priced at around $1,770 (approx. Rs 1,30,000).
