Samsung is working on Note 10 Lite, Galaxy S10 Lite
Reportedly, Samsung is working to launch two new low-cost smartphones as part of its flagship Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10 line-up. According to SamMobile, the South Korean tech giant is readying a more affordable Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Galaxy S10 Lite that will join the already available flagship models. Here's more on this development.
Note 10 Lite to arrive in Red and Black colors
A low-cost Note 10 Lite would be a first for the flagship phablet series and could offer the S Pen experience at a more affordable price. This handset will bear a model number SM-N770F and it would launch in Europe in Black and Red colors.
An affordable Galaxy S10 Lite is also in the works
In a separate report, SamMobile has claimed that a low-cost Galaxy S10, with model number SM-G770F, is in the works as well. Citing unnamed sources, the report notes that this upcoming S10 model will "have the same specs as the Galaxy A91." As for pricing, it might cost somewhere Rs. 45,000, which would make it the most affordable flagship of S10's line-up.
Galaxy S10 Lite could come with a 48MP triple rear-camera
Further, going by the reports, the S10 Lite could come with a 6.7-inch full-HD+ display. Under the hood, it may pack a Snapdragon 855 processor with 8GB RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 45 Watt fast charging support. In the optics department, the phone could offer a 48MP+12MP+5MP triple camera on the back and a 32MP selfie snapper.
Can Samsung mimic iPhone 11's success?
With the Note 10 Lite and S10 Lite, Samsung is aiming to mimic the success of the iPhone 11, Apple's low-cost flagship offering. However, the company will not only need to beat the likes of iPhone 11 but also popular Android offerings like OnePlus 7T. And to do that, Samsung will have to find the perfect mix of hardware and an attractive price tag.
