Galaxy A10: Samsung's first smartphone to pack in-display fingerprint scanner
We know Samsung's 10th-anniversary Galaxy S10 flagship will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. However, it may not be the company's first smartphone to get this unlocking technology. According to a new leak, the Korean tech giant is working on an upper mid-range Galaxy A10 with an in-display fingerprint sensor and that this phone could possibly launch before Galaxy S10.

What else do we know about Galaxy A10
The tweet hardly gives any other information about the Galaxy A10. However, the same Chinese tipster earlier claimed that Samsung is working on Galaxy A model with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. Further, the in-display fingerprint sensor on A10 should be optical and not ultrasonic like on the S10. This is because Snapdragon 855 and not Snapdragon 845, supports Qualcomm's latest 3D Sonic Sensor.
Samsung Galaxy A10 could feature new Infinity-O display
While very little is known about the Galaxy A10, we expect the phone to feature Samsung's all-new Infinity-0 display. This is being speculated as the recently launched A8s has officially debuted the new design. Moreover, we can expect to see A9's quad camera setup on A10, given A8s packs A7's triple camera optics.
Samsung revamping Galaxy A-series to take on competition
DJ Koh, Head of Samsung's Mobile Division, earlier said that the company will revamp its mid-range and budget devices to offer more premium features. The new strategy aims to counter stifling competition from the likes of Xiaomi and OnePlus as Samsung continues to see a slump in sales. Features like flagship chipset and in-display fingerprint sensor on mid-range devices would certainly work for Samsung.
