Samsung introduces new laptops with Apple MacBook Pro-like design
As the latest addition to its portfolio of laptops, Samsung has launched the Notebook 7 and Notebook 7 Force models. The new laptops share a striking similarity to Apple's MacBook Pro while packing the latest internals including the 8th generation Intel Core processor. As per the company, they will start shipping them sometime later this year. Here's our roundup.
Samsung Notebook 7 series: At a glance
The Samsung Notebook 7 series, with an aluminum body, diamond-cut edges, full-size chicklet keyboard, and wider trackpads, look a lot like Apple's MacBook Pro models. The standard Notebook 7 comes in 13-inch and 15-inch display sizes with full-HD resolution whereas the Notebook 7 Force offers a 15-inch full-HD screen option only. Notably, these Windows 10-powered machines also offer stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
Samsung Notebook 7: What's under the hood
The standard Samsung Notebook 7 laptop is powered by the 8th generation Intel Core processor, paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB SSD (NVMe). These laptops also come with support for all the latest connectivity options and ports including Gigabit Wi-Fi, a USB Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, one microSD card slot, and a single HDMI port.

Samsung's Notebook 7 Force laptops run on 8th generation Intel Core processor, coupled with NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card, up to 24GB of RAM and up to 512GB of expandable SSD storage. Further, like the standard model, this one also comes with a USB Type-C port, USB 3.0 port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a microSD card reader and Gigabit Wi-Fi support.
Pricing and availability
The Samsung Notebook 7 comes at a starting price of $999 (Rs. 69,300). It will go on sale in the US via Amazon and Samsung's e-store from July 26. The Notebook 7 Force variant will be available at a starting price of $1,499 (Rs. 1,04,000) and it'll release in the US and China later this year. Presently, there's no confirmation on the India availability.
