Samsung lists 512GB microSD card, affordable wireless charger: Details here
Despite launching Note 9, a smartphone capable of supporting 512GB of external storage, Samsung hasn't yet introduced its own memory cards of the same capacity. However, that could change pretty soon because the first 512GB microSD card from the South Korean giant has been spotted online. It was first seen by AllAboutSamsung.de along with an affordable wireless charger. Here are more details.
Samsung Evo Plus microSD card listed on Samsung's German website
The microSD card, officially dubbed Samsung Evo Plus (like others), was spotted on the company's official German website. Though it has not been officially announced, the listing suggests Samsung could make it available pretty soon, at least in Germany. The card has been priced at EUR 289.90 (roughly Rs. 24,200) and interested buyers can sign up to know when it's available for purchase.
Costlier than other Samsung microSD cards
Notably, the price of the 512GB microSD card is much higher than that of the 256GB variant, which has been priced at EUR 99.90 (roughly Rs. 8,300) on the same German website.
512GB microSD card features: A quick look
The microSD, according to the website, will come with an additional SD adapter and offer read and write speeds at upto 100 MB/s and 90MB/s. With this, it can transfer 3GB of 4K high-resolution videos in just 38 seconds, Samsung claims. As for storage, the card offers 93.1% of the designated capacity and can easily store 78 hours of full-HD content or 1,50,300 images.
Affordable wireless charge: A quick look at specs, price
Along with the microSD card, a wireless charging pad with model code EP-P1100BBEGWW was also spotted on Samsung's German website. It is also not available at present but is said to be the cheapest wireless charger from the company with a price of EUR 34.99 (roughly Rs. 2,900). It will work with all Qi-compatible devices, including the Galaxy S7, S6, and Note 5 family.
