Samsung Galaxy M10, M20 launched in India: Price, specifications
Taking on Xiaomi, Samsung has launched its highly anticipated Galaxy M10 and M20 budget smartphones in the Indian market. The new devices come with edge-to-edge Infinity V displays, dual-camera setups, and a custom skin running on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. They both will be available via Amazon India and Samsung India e-store from February 5. Here are the details.
Samsung Galaxy M10: At a glance
Galaxy M10 is the lower-end release from Samsung and is equipped with a 6.2-inch HD+ Infinity-V Display. The device runs Exynos 7870 SoC under the hood and comes in two options: one with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage and other with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The 2GB/16GB variant is priced at Rs. 7,990, while the 3GB/32GB model will ship at Rs. 8,990.
Samsung Galaxy M20: Specifications
Galaxy M20, on the other hand, takes things up a notch with a bigger 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) Infinity-V Display. This particular model runs on an Exynos 7904 chip and comes in 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB options. The 3GB model has been priced at Rs. 10,990, while the 4GB model will be available at Rs. 12,990.
Camera on Galaxy M10 and M20
Both Galaxy M10 and M20 pack an identical dual camera setup on the back, which includes a 13MP main sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP ultra-wide sensor. Meanwhile, on the front, M10 packs a 5-megapixel shooter, while M20 carries an 8MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture. Notably, the storage on both models is expandable up to 512GB via microSD card.
Connectivity and battery of new M-series phones
Galaxy M10 promises one day of usage with a 3,400mAh battery, while its elder sibling is powered by an even bigger 5,000mAh battery. Both the phones offer standard connectivity options with fast charging capabilities via USB Type-C. You can also use face unlocking options on both phones, but do note that there's no fingerprint scanner on M10.
